Transylvania County is located in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina, about half way between Asheville, NC and Greenville, SC. The area is renowned for its stunning mountainous terrain and abundant natural beauty. The land sits right in the apron of the Blue Ridge Mountains, and is home to scenic paradises like Pisgah National Forest, DuPont State Recreational Forest, and Gorges State Park.

With elevations ranging from around 1,200 feet in the valleys to over 6,000 feet at its highest peaks, Transylvania County experiences a temperate mountain climate with cool summers and mild winters. This combination of rugged mountains, lush forests, and scenic waterways makes Transylvania County a prime destination for outdoor recreation.

But, we're focused on Brevard, NC (the county seat), and why this town is the perfect haven for bikers, hikers, bird-watchers and those looking to "escape" for a bit.
